I am quite fortunate to have gained the reputation for being a solid bass player. I've always been the bassist that supports the song, the artist and locks down the groove with the drummer! And when asked to, I can rip it up with a cool bass solo! Influenced by all of the usual suspects like Jaco, Stanley, Marcus, Geddy and Jamerson etc, I also admire bassist like Will Lee, Lee Sklar, Chuck Rainey, Nathan East, Bobby Vega, Uriah Duffy, Pino Palladino....the guys who can switch up styles and play exactly what's required to cover it all!

My bass playing career was established early on when I honed my skills by playing along with rock and funk records at home and performing with the high school concert band. From there I quickly progressed to performing with many cover bands and nightclub acts throughout western Canada.

I've had the great pleasure to attended Musicians Institute (BIT) in Hollywood, California. It was there I was able to study and share the stage with some great world class instructors, bassist and musicians.

After graduating I stayed busy performing all over the southern California with my prog metal band ‘Ritual Piston’. As a sideman, I performed in the Los Angeles club scene in various rock, blues and soul/dance bands. I also did multiple tours throughout the US and Europe w/ 60’s singing groups ‘The Drifters’, The Coasters’ and ‘The Boxtops'....and with blues bands ‘The Howling Muddy Kings’, ‘Jimmy O & Code Blue’ and with Latino roots-rock band ‘The Blazers’.

Back in Canada, I met up with former David Bowie/Rough Trade guitarist Toney 'Wild T' Springer. We reformed ‘Wild T & the Spirit’ and put the band on the international scene. The band has released 7 CD’s with Warner Bros., Jazzhaus and Bullseye Records, and the band tours throughout Canada and Europe regularly.

I also tour and record with rising Canadian blues star 'Chris Antonik'. I recorded all the bass tracks on his latest album entitled "Monarch". The band has toured throughout Canada, US & the UK!
